Oh there you go ... getting me started.
Well, remember you asked. I'll try to keep this short ...
One day I logged onto my sprint account online and noticed that some strange email address was saved in my account. And being from the state where we lead the Nation on identity theft, I had some real concerns about this.
I called customer service to inquire how someone gained access to my account to add their email address .. I also wanted to know how much of personal info Sprint sent to this unkown email .. did they send copies of my statement with my name, address, etc.?
Customer service said - you have to call the Fraud dept. So I followed their instructions and the most RUDE person I have delt with in my life answered .. I explained ... she said .. This aint Fraud - and BOOM - without any further conversation transfered me BACK to Customer Service ... who said they can't help me, I would have to contact the Fraud Dept.
After WEEKS of going back and forth my case was finally turned over to an executive department .. they said they didn't know how it happened and offered me ONE MONTH of free service !!
GIVE ME A BREAK ... MY Personal info has been accessed and you think ONE MONTH of free service will satisfy me ... NOT A CHANCE >.... I canceled my account and went with Verizon ... Couldn't be happier with Verizon !!

I get service anywhere I go mostly. But I live in a big city and that is pretty common. But I did vacation on the Outer banks in NC and our beachhouse was about a half mile from their tower and I couldn't get any service whatsoever. None! But unfortunately I signed a contract and is stuck with it. But my next service is still not going to be a nextel. I am not big on having my conversations broadcast to everyone around me in earshot.

I paid my bill and a few days later it was time to pay it again. The bad thing is, was they were charging me for overage and I monitored my minutes to the tee. That was about 4 years ago. As soon as my contract ended, I closed the account and never returned.

i think phones that use the GSM band which are providers that use sim cards have better reception than TMDA phones like sprint, verizon, etc.
these company's plans cost more too.
