theres this girl in my class who really wants to be friends with me. shes a cute kid, but she totally kisses up to me all day, and it drives me crazy!!!!! the thing is, she has a pretty rotten home life, so i fell bad just to brush her off. what should i do!!!!!????!!!

I would be nice to her about 2/3 of the time. Don't be mean to her the rest of the time but a little cold. Dedicate some time to talking about her problems but if it gets out of control, change the subject. Make it clear that you care but not to an excessive extent. Good luck.

It won't hurt you to get a new friend. You just have to be honest with her, tell her that you would like to be friends with her, but she has to give the kissing up to bit a rest. I'm sure that if she really wants to be your friend she will lay off if you tell her to.

Be honest with her and tell her how it is ... I f she understands and knows that you may not mind being friends with her if she lays off some she maybe cool ... If not she may realize that she doesn't want to hang out .. Either way you win

Be nice to her. A little kindness goes a long way. Maybe your being nice to her is her only light of the day. Maybe one day you will need a friend and she will be there for you.
