A sad one from the Sixties musical "Hair": "Easy To Be Hard." The pop group Three Dog Night popularized the song, but it was from the Broadway musical "Hair." You really feel the pain of disappointment in the lyrics. Ouch.

I like "Amazed" by Lonestar and "Anything but Mine" by Kenny Chesney. Some sad ones are "I Miss My Friend" by Darryl Worley and "Not a day goes by" by Lonestar. They've all got music videos on Yahoo Music.
