I am 20 years old and would like to know if the doctor will do a pregnancy test or if i will have to ask?

You will have to ask. It is not part of a routine pap smear. Since you're over 18, any results will be kept confidential.

Most of my patients aren't pregnant, so it wouldn't even occur to me to do a pregnancy test unless the patient asks for it.

Tell you doctor you think you may be pregnant before the test and ask them to perform the bloodtest for ya,,,good luck

Well, I just had a pap performed last week and she didn't test me. I think you have to ask. Then again, you probably don't, because they will ask when was your last pierod and take it from there.

Usually they will just to confirm that you're not when you start birth control, but if you've been on birth control, they probably will not. It's always safer to ask, if you think you may be pregnant.

If you think your pregnant tell him although depending on how far along when the Dr does the internal exam he may be able to that your pregnant depending on how far along you are.
