I know it might sound silly to you because it's silly to me.

My fiance and I have been dating for 5.5 years. He just graduated from college but I'm still enrolled so he drove 8.5 hours with me to drop me off at my school and to help me unpack.

I always make a big fuss about watching his speed on the road but I fell asleep for about 6 of the 8.5 hours while we were on the road. He ended up getting a $200 ticket for doing 92mph!!!!

When I woke up, he said it was my fault because he always gets tickets when doing things for me and I should have been awake with him. He of course is going to pay for the ticket and doesn't expect anything from me but... they are suspending his license for about 50 days and he's bitching to me about it now like "Don't worry about it, it isn't your fault right?" (sarcastically)

Uggggh it pisses me off! Sorry about the long details!

it's not your fault that he can't control how much pressure he puts on the accelerator but you still should have stayed awake at least half of the way so maybe you should pay half of the ticket if you can.

You seem to have a man who does not know how to own up to his own responsibilities. He blames you for this ticket, yet you were not driving. "How idiotic is that?" He obviously received more tickets than the one in order for the license to be suspended. Tell him to be a man. Take responsibility for what he did wrong. Bottom line, it was his fault! And as the previous answer stated a BIG RED FLAG!

red flag! hello! your going to marry someone that will do this sort of thing all the time...don't fool yourself...this is a really big
red flag honey! How many other red flags can you count? Have you heard of Joshuah Harris...read his books on relationships...then you will get some idea on commitment and avoiding certain issues that creep up and cause divorces! This is a GIANT RED FLAG! His response to this situation will not get better...he is who he is...and if you choose to stay with him
then you are probably asking to stay mad throughout your entire marriage!

Not your fault he can't be mature enough to accept responsibility for his own actions either. He 'only' gets tickets when helping you??? HA!Pitching in to help pay the ticket wouldn't hurt if you can afford it.

No it is not your fault. He was the one driving. Tell him to grow up. Take responsibility for HIS actions he may just start to feel better about himself.

It was nice of him to be driving you, but it's his responsibility to drive safely. You weren't driving, of course it's not your fault. If he can't accept responsibility for the ticket then he's being petty.

first of all he knows better than speeding in the first place.he knew that when he got his driver license.it's not your fault because he was the driver not you.it was his responsibilty to follow the rules of the road.

What is this? You didn't force his foot on the pedal right? It's not your fault, it's his and he needs to learn how to take responsibility for his mistakes and not to take them out on you.

No its not your fault.......Your lack of time management may drive him nuts though! If it makes you feel better you can help him pay for it,but really you were late anyway I am sure..I hope you set your alarm next time.......
