I only notice the oder after sex. No matter how much I clean it comes back. This has only started after I got he IUD. Is this the cause?

Yes I have read up online that it is common for a woman to have an unpleasent odor to her parts and it not be an infection But i would go get it checkout anyways

It's not an infection since the odor is only sporadic.
You could have an allergic reaction to his sperm. Or, the IUD and his sperm don't "get along."
Call your gyn and tell her about it. She may want you to come in for some tests, so tell hubby/boyfriend/boy toy to be ready.

Quite possibly there is an infection.

It sure can be the problem, it is sitting back there collecting all kinds of bacteria, and secreations.
