Verizon or T Mobile. The only thing wrong with T Mobile, their time is off and you have to set it all the time.

As far as brand of phone - that would be motorola, Far superior and always striving as they hold the government contracts. As soon as they slip, another manufacturer gets the sale. They have not slipped in about 30 years, They work in more of competitors "out of service" area than any other brand. As for service provider. Use pre paid at Wal-Mart I hate the Wal-Mart, but this way she can call as long as she is paid and not run up a big bill no one is aware of.

i would get a Nokia cell phone.
i've been using nokia for years, and it never gave me any problems.
i dropped it thousands of times and it's still usable.
there are numerous models to choose from.
and you can change the face-plates on most of them to suit your different moods.
so yeah i would recommend Nokia.
