Yes. Jim Leyland pulled the Tigers out of the abyss, and even though they have been slacking as of late, what he's done overall this season is more than enough for him to take Manager of the year, no question. The Twins' manager went into the season with winnining expectations on him, but nobody saw what the Tigers were going to do.

I think he's still in the driver's seat, but if Gardenhire leads the Twins to the division title, and the White Sox, by some miracle, overtake Detroit for the Wild Card, my vote switches to Gardenhire.

If Detroit wins the division and the first ALCS series they play. I think he does. If they make the playoffs as the wild card and lose the first series, I think maybe no. I think personally he should win it hands down regardless what happens the rest of the season. He has done a fanatastic job.

Yes, he does.

He took a team that was 20 games under last season and turned them into a real contender.

Gardenhire is a good manager, but Minnesota was expected to do well. While Detroit was expected to finish 4th.

OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE. Ha. Ozzie is the manager of all time. But seriously, yeah, I bet itll be Leyland. The Tigers sucked for like 12 years until he came. Theyll give it to him.

I certainly think so. Look at the fine turnaround the Tigers have done this season.

He certainly deserves it. This isn't a fluke. Look what he did in the past with the Pirates. He's a good teacher, as well as a good manager.

I think he still deserves it. People are touting Gardenhire, but he's been doing it for a few years now.

Detroit's been terrible.

He's a good manager, but isn't Dave Dombrowski the architect who put together the team?
