I was just looking for some ideas for a few fall and wintertime albums by talented artists. What im looking for is more acoustic, slower, almost sad chill music, similar to Josh Rouse, Death cab for cutie, regina spektor, ane brun, etc.
any ideas?

India.Arie has an album out that is pretty great. also this album came out last fall/winter but Illinois by Sufjan Stevens is pretty hot. also try Sonic Youth, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and ray Lamontagne....they all have new albulms out.
Calexico, Damien Rice, Ryan adams, Iron and wine, and beth Orton all all very good musicians with new or almost new stuff
and last but not least my favorite trio of ladies...TRES CHICAS...good slightly country very chilled out music...enjoy

Try the Morning After Girls new album Evolve. It ranges from dark, distorted guitar music, to laid back folk type jams. Kind of like The Brian Jonestown Massacre, meets Dandy Warhols, meets My Bloody Valentine. Perfect for grey days.
