Send your licence to DVLA and exchange it for a British one.

You are able to drive in the UK for one year from the date of your arrival in the UK on a foreign driving licence. After that period, if you haven't taken and passed the required theory and driving test, you will have to revert to being a learner on a provisional licence. Driving in the UK and India are vastly different experiences, so for your own safety you would be wise to take some lessons before you venture out onto our roads. Equip yourself with a copy of our highway code for starters as you will need to know all this before you can pass the theory test....here is a link to it....

Here is an example of what you could encounter on our roads!

Indian driving license? Holy ****.
You'll have no trouble with the UK one.

Unfortunately there is no such thing as a "U.K. driving license".
In the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland we use what is known as "The Queen's English, others refer to it as "British English". In The Queen's English, what you are talking about is "a U.K. driving licence". Correct spelling says a lot about a person and their sensibilities.

Well if you are already a professional driver that's good. Just apply for the provisional with the DVLA, and sit your theory exam. the rest should come easily.
