I hope you are awake now, and not operating on mechanical steam or something worse, but either way, as to the long months, those are the ones with 31 and that is not September so I guess it is prepatory for the time ahead. Do try not to sleep through October too, Halloween is rather a fun time-sort of like Christmas.
