My folder options says it has been disabled by the administrator. Any idea how I can get that working again??

No I am the administrator. That is what is confusing. I tried typing in gpedit.msc, and that doesnt do anything.

If you have administrative permissions on the computer enable it. You might have to shut it down and restart before it takes effect.

i think of what's the concern is you could no longer see the data which you have have been given been hidden. nicely it happened to me already and that i did no longer difficulty to make the folder option to function lower back, rather I seek for the data or folder that i've got hidden... in case you remember the call of the folder you could seek for it, or in case you forgot the folder call the report call in that folder will do, as quickly as the end result has been confirmed up precise click on it and then click open containing folder, then it is the time you could unclick in it properties to make it unhidden... And test your laptop for virus, it may be the only inflicting it.

click start, click run, type in gpedit.msc and modify the group policy that's locking down that option, or just give your account administrative rights.

Yeah, ask the administrator! If you have set the administrator password you better hope you remember it!
