It is getting dark here but the sky has pale bands of pink fading into mauve and blue. The huge tree silhouetted against the sky in back of my neighbor's house has just a few golden-red leaves among the dark green. The streetlights have just come on and my other neighbor across the street has his porch light on. While I have been writing this, the sky has changed to a dark blue. There are no moon nor stars yet.
