Depends I fear failure in my personal life because I want to have a good marriage and happy, well adjusted kids. And I fear success in my working life because of what I'm going to have to give up in my personal life to be successful in my working life.

I fear both, and the amount varies with the situation.
Still, I must admit the one I always crave for is success, despite the responsabilities and exposure it involves.
Failure is like a shadow, a disgrace. That may not be entirely right, but it's the way I feel.
After all, being able to cope with failure is a greater inner success than the actual winning. All that matters is keeping a positive thinking and a clear head. Fear is a foul way of limiting happiness.
In my opinion, fear is the one to be truly feared.

I have faced and accepted failure. I look forward to success. At the age of 65, I expect I will encounter a few more failures and a few more successes. I "fear" neither; but, I can unequivocably say I would rather embrace success.

I always thought I feared failure, which I did. I was my toughest critic and I pushed myself hard to always be on top. When I officially got "On top of the world" so to speak, It was awful. I'd never felt something worse. Its actually more scary than anyone can think unless they have got there. I knew then it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Failing isn't always the worst. I like the right in the middle. That's where I am right now, and I am enjoying every minute of it. Once you get success, what more are you living for? There is nothing left. And its just no fun.

FAILURE- for sure!
Reasoning.... I'm an artist. I HAVE to be successful. In fact, being a failure is my one gigantic humongous gargatuan monstrous fear in life. (adjectives, anybody? I have some spares...)
I fear failure above all else!
If I don't succeed, then what does my life mean?! I don't know!! :(
Well, the fear drives me to work hard. Maybe its a good fear?

Good question
I'm so used to 'failure' that it's like a friend to me =) , so I guess I'd fear 'success' the most

it depends on what the success was. If we're talking fantasy football, i don't fear sucess. If we're talking about taking my company public and answering to shareholders, yah, maybe I would fear that a little bit. because the thing about sucess is that it's not a stopping point. it's a journey. so once i got to the top i would want to stay there, and that would instill some fear in me.
failure, i dont fear too much...unless it is a one-time type of performance, like a speech to my employees or giving a eulogy or doing standup or something. not that i have done those things lately. very good question.
