My computer has a CD burner, but I want to transfer an old cassette to CD. Is there any hardware or software that can help me do this?

Either

1) Buy the actual CD for better sound quality or
2) Get a tape player, get a cable with a mini-plug on both sides, get a computer with a CD burner, plug the mini plug into the mic-in of the sound card of the computer and the output jack of the tape player.
