Lebanon is a country in shambles with a flimsy, spineless government that will not take action. There are people there who need our prayers, Muslim and Christian alike, to be delivered from the violence that has destroyed their way of life. A shame.

Well...I had the misfortune of seeing it from offshore in 1982 and 1984, when I was in the US Navy.
Then, it was an unholy mess. Religion and politics combined to ruin the place for the average person on the street, just as is happening today.
Some people I've worked with in the past few years were Lebanese. They were great guys, and just wished a peaceful life for themselves and for Lebanon. I wish the same.
Someday, I'd love to go see the place and meet the people there.

It's O.K. but I live in Lebanon, Pa. and get really tired of people thinking that it's in the Middle East. Besides we have better things here like Hershey's chocolate plant just minutes away (mmmmmmmmmm the whole town of Hershey smells like chocolate)) also we have bologna named for our city, sweet and regular. How many places can boast about that?
