multiply it out. 24x - 6 = 24x + 36
bring 24x over to one side by subtraction
and move -6 to other side
0x = 42
How is that possible? It's not.

There is no answer because after you distrubute, you have 24x-6=24x+36. This simplifies to 0=42, which is not a true statement (subtract 24x from the right side, and -6 from the left to give you 24x-24x=36+6, which simplifies to 0=42 since the 24x's cancel out)

6(4x-1) = 12(2x+3) is 24x-6 = 24x36
You minus 24x from both sides you are left with (24x-24x)-6=(24x-24x)+36, this leaves you with -6=36 or 0=42 (which is not true). Thus there is not solution for X.

Simplify by dividing each side by 6:
4x-1=2(2x+3)
then develop :
4x-1=4x+6 :already there you can see it is impossible/
rearrange by moving the to one side and the numbers to the other:
4x-4x=6 +1
0=7 is not possible
et voila!

there is no solution bcuz 6(4x-1)= 24x-6
and 12(2x+3) equals 24x+36 so they r not the same, get it? so the left DOESN"T equal teh right. That is why there is no solution

the equation can be simplified to
24x - 6 = 24x + 36
You can see now that there is no value for x which will satisfy the equation since you can subtract 24x from both sides.
and -6 is not equal to 36
if you were to graph each side of the equation you would see that you have 2 parallel lines that never intersect.
Hence there is no solution
