They are important in lots of arenas - when dating, when interviewing for a job, when meeting your bf or gf's parents. That first impression sets the stage and sometimes you don't get a second chance. Right or wrong, people make snap judgements based on how you present yourself for the first time.

First impression is the first subjective judgment that usually retained in our memory about the object of interaction. This new formed images are always related from past judgments. Our mind automatically mark the new experience to identify its existence.

I go with my gut on people.
but I also try to work through irritations with them and try to get to the other side. . .
