They are trained to buck. Also they don't like people on their back. I don't blame them I don't either.
tonalc1 is crazy I have rode bulls and raced barrels the rope you are talking about that comes off with the rider is the riggin that is what the rider holds on to it is ran around the bull then put in the riders hand and they hold it on. The bulls stand in the pen with the rope around their flanks still tight. Yes they do lthe same thing to horses but a horse will buck when you kick them in the flank and a bull does not.

They have a strap around there flank which is right in front of there back legs which is what makes them buck. The strap is tightened before they come out of the chute and removed when they are done 8 seconds later.
Bucking Bulls used for Rodeos have a great life. They make the people money, so they are treated great. The rope is not around the penis of the bull.

It doesn't matter to me what makes them buck, physically. Ultimately, what makes them buck is some weird, dark motivation within humans. The same feeling that made Christians roast on circuses when Rome was Pagan, and then Pagans when Rome was Christian.
I think it's a very sad spectacle, but I understand it's something we have in us. Maybe you don't like rodeos, like me, but you are attracted towards an accident scene to see the victims. It's the same impulse.
That's what ultimately makes bulls buck - the details are just methods.
Take care!

The above post is incorrect. Look carefully at the bull. Notice the rope tied around his body toward the rear? And notice that just before the bull comes out of the gate, the rope is tightened?
It's tied so it puts painful pressure on the bull's penis; he knows once he bucks the cowboy off the pressure will be relieved. (Notice that's the first thing that happens to the bull after the ride.)
They do the same thing to horses.

Trying to be delicate but... they have a belt up and under the groin area that horribly hurts if you follow me. They use MALE bulls, understand?

They do it naturally, they are trained from the time they are calves. Not a personal shot but an example, say we put you in a cage that you barely fit into, and then put some guy on your shoulder, then open the gate, wouldn't you go nuts too!!!:-)
