I run win. 98. If I remove quick time and try to open pic I get , windows can not find viewer exe. this program is needed for opening files of type Quick Time Picture. I'm a bit dumb so please type slowly.

Right click the file, pick open with . . . , pick your program, and click the box that says always use this prog to open this file type.

are you talking about the *.qtif licenced file format or just the normal *.jpeg *.jpg *.img formats? If talking about the *.qtif file format you are asking about the file format invented and controled by the Quik Time Inc. company if talking about the other file format types I mentioned right click on the file and scroll to the open with and select another program to use. repeat for each file type and good luck.
