I have three tattoos and a tongue piercing. The tats I didn't mind, but the tongue made me feel like a sissy as it healed. It swelled up really bad and I got the fork prongs stuck on it.

To Mike S, I don't have to worry about an employer looking down on me cause I am my employer.

I have 11 tattoos and 2 piercings. For the piercings I have 5/8" gauges in my ears. They are big enough that I can fit my middle finger through my ear. As for tattoos, I have: 5 kanji's (father, mother on my neck. Older brother, older sister and family on my chest), 2 demonic dragons facing off against one another on my lower back, the words "I have promises to keep..." on my shoulder blades, the words "Scelestus" and "Animus" on my ankles and Jack Skellington on my right calf. I am getting - http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/1898432 as my backpiece, this - http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/24592262 as my left ribcage design and Paul Booth of Last Rites in NYC is designing my right ribcage. It is going to be the Thinking Devil with the Gates of Hell underneath it with demons walking through with skulls, spikes and fire on either side of the demons.

I haven't done any of those things. I hope your tattoos can be hidden because many employers frown on such things... you won't be able to get a job from a large number of major employers with tattoos all over the place. As for you piercing, sounds like you learned a lesson. Although the pierced ear is moderately accepted, other piercings make one look immature and searching to find one's self... not exactly a characteristic an employer is looking for.

I'm covered in tattoos; I've invested more in those than a lot of people invest in their cars. But the only thing I ever had pierced was one ear, and that didn't last long.

I sincerely wouldn't be brave enough to have my tongue pierced, even if I felt some compulsion to have it done. I even cringe just thinking abut it...

I have 16 piercings, 15 in my ears and my belly button. i wanted more but I can't because of my job, boo hiss. I would like a tattoo my brother has 7, but I'm worried I'll get bored with the design after a while and then I'm stuck with it.

One tat. Didn't hurt. Used to have 3 eyebrows piercing...got in the way of my makeup... had a lip piercing...got in the way of my lipstick.........now just have the belly one..........doesn't get in the way of anything........LOL
I have a friend who ended up losing THREE of her front teeth from the daily hitting of the tongue piercing hitting them and slowly making them loose. I do NOT recommend it to anyone. Interesting and ..ahhh... sounds painful about the fork situation.
