Favre led the Packers to their best season in 30 years in the 1996-97 season, winning his second consecutive MVP award in the process. Green Bay compiled an NFL-best regular season record of 13-3, defeated the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina at Lambeau Field in the playoffs, and advanced to Super Bowl XXXI at the Louisiana Superdome, a short drive from Kiln.

Favre also rushed for 12 yards and another touchdown, as the Packers won Super Bowl XXXI over the New England Patriots, 35-21.
Favre and the Packers continued their dominance of the NFC the next season. Favre was named co-MVP of the league with Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders, his third straight award. Green Bay lost to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII by the score of 31-24 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. Favre completed 25 of 42 passes for 256 yards and 3 touchdowns, with 1 interception in the losing effort.

Brett will not get traded by Green Bay Packers. He is the face of the Packers Franchise. Without Brett Packers will lose a lot of games. And plus, from the Marketing point, Packers will lose a lot of money. And Green Bay would never trade to a division rival.
