There are some stocks that are paying very high dividends. However, they may not continue to do so. Here are a few.
BPT 14.1%
SFF 13.2%
FRO 15.7%
AIC 31.4% last year. I doubt it will pay that much this year.

You ask an excellent question, but as a former investment broker I want to make you aware that some companies paying extremely high dividends are on the edge of bankruptcy... so please be careful and be sure to select companies with good track records and profitability. I'd recommend a Yahoo search on the finance page to find utility companies that pay good dividends and have good earnings... it's an easy search just clicks away. Find the stock screener and type in your criteria. Good luck!

Check out the history on Frontline tankers (FRO).
Disclaimer:Many market factors influence the price of a stock. There are "market makers" who must try to influence markets to their benefit while staying within the law. There are institutions that must answer monthly to their customers. And there are short and long options players as well as long holders. Also there is public opinion, the number of shares outstanding, etc. Commission prices are also important and can eat into your profits or increase your losses if you trade frequently. Seek professional advice.

I found UST on http://winners-and-losers.com/ a while back.
The current yield is about 4.2% but that is misleading because the stock has almost doubled this year.
