Abraham's seed is his children, Isaac and Ishmeal, and all of their children. Isaac is the father of Jacob (also known as Israel). This makes Abraham the father of all of the isrealites (or Jews).

Until Pentacost it meant Israel as a Nation. At Pentacost (in Acts) it then referred to "Spiritual Israel" and "Spiritual Israelites" and this mean Jews and Gentiles who accepted Christ as their Savior. It no longer applied to Israel as a Nation.

This is explained in the Bible. Also, as Abraham's inheritors Christians are those who are "numbered amongst the stars" meaning that his "seed would be without number." This is a relative term and not a reality. By it, God was trying to tell Abraham that his see would be GREAT and that many would be saved through him and his grace. By this I mean his offer of sacrifice of Isaac and his love for the ONE TRUE GOD. The offer of sacrifice of Isaac pre-figured God's own sacrifice of his son, Christ Jesus.
