All of them. Each driver has to put up with crazily high temperatures, need clarity of mind to drive well, and need to be physically in-shape enough to have their hearts stand the fast speeds and adrenaline! In those respects, each driver is highly impressive. They sometimes drive with injuries and sickness, deal with crashes on the track, and have to stay calm when fights break loose between drivers. Now that's an athelete.

Do they have to be alive and racing still??? cause if they have to be alive, then Richard Petty. if they have to be still racing then Mark Martin, or, as much as i hate to say it, Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart (can't stand either of them... they whine too much and are too much of idiots...) and if they can be dead then Dale Earnhardt.
