Agree! They are among the worst things on TV. Even "highbrow" networks like Bravo and A&E carry them!

Agree. Some reality shows are well done - Amazing Race, Survivor, Big Brother. Others are just crap...thrown together cheaply and have no clue how to tell a story or build suspense.
Which is where the bottom of 'reality' seems to drop out. There are such things as 'reality television writers'. So not everything is reality. Some of the best parts are the suspense that is developed by the filming, editing and producing of the show. I suspect the best shows are more unreal than others...and that's why they're entertaining.

Of course they cater to the LCD, they are TV shows after all. They are really no better or worse than other programs, I just wish people would realize that they are no closer to reality than other shows either. Seriously, how many times in your life have you done anything that you've seen on "reality" TV? If the answer is even once, then you need immediate psychiatric help.

With a few exceptions, I think reality tv is basically boring. The only reality shows I have watch lately have been Dancing with the Stars and So you think you can Dance - both are less about drama (more like drama queens) and more about exploring talent.
Reality tv sucks.

I dont like reality shows because they are getting paid to do what they would normally would have done and do nothing. It takes no effort what-soever to make a reality show
i think its a shame that most shows these days are reality. Makes tv look bad.
The only reality show i like is newlyweds nick and jessica. which obviously doesnt air anymore.

All it is a way for people that are desperate to get on TV to have the 15 minutes of fame. No one ever remembers people after the show is cancelled and hype wears down.

I agree completely. All they do on those shows are hurt other people and degrade them. There are NO MORALS! It is so stupid why people sell their souls to the devil just to get on them. They destroy couples marriages and friendships. My family does not watch the garbage. It is a shame what it teachers our young people. And people wonder why they act the way they do.

Agree, but its (unfortuantely) HIGHLY in demand. People love things they don't have to think about, reality tv serves that purpose. No complicated story lines to confuse anyone. It's sad and annoying.

I LOVE alot of the reality shows. I enjoy watching real people in hard situations. It's better than watching people act all goody goody like like is a bowl of cherries!!
