I have heard from many sources that they do not like each other. They have starred together in two films (Heat and Godfather Part 2) but never did a scene together. If you watch Heat carefully you can tell that they were never in the same room, doubles are used for the back of their heads when they are supposed to be talking to each other.

they don't. But wouldn't you if you were either of them? They both know they're great actors and they both have that machismo. But i think it's an out of control rumour.

They don't hate each other everyone assumes they do. It's to do with the film industry and the so called competition between them for roles in Italian/mafia type films. I think they are both fantastic actors, but I think De Niro is the man, Pacino can't compare.

i love them both cos they are great actors,and in a way alike,but it's sad if they really do hate each other.why use these greatness to hate instead of love?but i believe is just another rumour.

They don't hate each other.
They just never get cast together, because there so similar.
Although HEAT proved it can work.
