It sounds like herpes simplex, also called a cold sore. Most everyone has the virus in their body, it just takes a little something to make it flare up. Maybe you were stressed out and they appeared. For now, the best thing you can do is try and cover them up with some make up. Don't pick at them or it will get worse. Make sure you clean them and dry the area by patting it dry, not rubbing it.

Have you been kissing a guy with lots of stubble? That can irritate the skin around your lips and cause pimples. Might also be your lipstick or chapstick - try something non-comedigenic.

1. Use a lot of chap stick (which means lay off the lip gloss)

you could be using a chapstick or lipstick thats very oily and your stick isn't responding well to it. or maybe a makeup that doesn't work with your skin. or maybe even, something you ate.
i would wash my face with a drier soap, something that'll dry your skin more than moisturize. then put a little ice on them. or a benzol zit cream product that'll dry them out. dont wear any lip products for a few days. dont put any makeup (of ANY type) by your lips for a few days either. just wait it out.

Could it be because you often touch around your lips with your finger tips?
I get spots in the same places on my face over and over again and I worked out it's in the places I hold my face when I'm pondering (around my chin and cheek).
