not all people think like that but i see this is stupidity from people to think like that.

It's all about parity.
If there is a great age difference, one party can take advantage of the other. This is not good for the person or the relationship. It's especially tragic when a young person wastes their youth and doesn't accomplish anything while they spend all their time trying to please an ancient partner.
Note that I am not sex-biased. This can be either male or female, and the person taken advantage of can be the older or younger person.

If you're under 18, there are legal considerations. If you're over 18, there are life experience issues to deal with. Who you are & what you want can change drastically as you age. So, even if the 2 people in a couple with a big age difference have lots in common initially, that can totally change as the younger person matures.
