Yes, truth is something that can explain anything. Therefore, the Bible not being able to explain everything on life is not real truth.

Well yes, in a way. But please keep in mind that half of the stories and events in the Bible are not factually true. Most of the Bible is probably symbolic of what actually happened, or an interpretation of what actually happened, and not the real thing. The Bible is not meant to be a documentary or a recording of history; it is meant to teach man a lesson and to guide us through our daily lives through the teachings it offers us through its countless stories, whether they be factual or fictional. Some stories in the Bible may have not happened at all, and were told merely to present to the reader a moral or a lesson to be learned.

Also keep in mind that, over the many, many decades that the Bible has passed through humanity's hands, its words have been drastically altered and changed in many ways. If you compared the original (or one of the first) copies of the Bible to a modern day Bible, they would probably seem like two completely different texts. You see, the Bible was created for man and man only; Mankind took the story of Jesus and all other stories in the Bible and changed them to his own benefit and satisfaction, and thus almost everything in the Bible isn't of its original state. So, in a way, the Bible is the truth, but is not the direct and original truth that the original authors had intended for us to read and use.

if the question is as to whether or not the word of God is the truth,
then yes, the bible is the truth, as told to those who were revealed of the word by either God and/or Jesus (when he was alive on this earth). The difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament is the principle of the word. The New Testament, for example, has to do more with the grace of our Lord. The Old Testament is for...can you guess??? maybe someone would like to clarify this more...I'll leave it in the hands of His children who know what the meaning of the word is...

There are rules for determining truth in general.
It must not violate the law of non-contradiction. That is, a thing cannot be both true and false at the same time. Truth must be universal, which means it does not depend on personal belief and is truth common to all agents of moral obligation.
I add this to it based on my belief in God....true to reason, true to scripture and true to life. Jesus is the way the truth and the life.

Also truth must have a totality to it that provides a unified field of knowledge that answers all the questions regarding the nature of man, God and the world in which we live.

Is there such a thing as Truth? Yes. Does it exist on the physical plane of existence? No. What then does exist on the physical plane of existence? Relative truth. And there is a relative truth for every level of consciousness, of which there are many.

As one progresses within oneself, via meditation, one does rise through numerous levels of truth. Think of reality as a ladder, and each rung is a level. On the rung on which one stands is a level of truth, and one sees life relative to that level of truth. As one rises a rung, ones perspective of life is altered by a new relative truth.

A belief in certain concepts coincides with an elevation in ones Apapsyche, or Operational Energy of ones Soul. Until one rises to a certain level, it is normal and natural to believe or not believe in certain concepts.

The Bible was written by individuals who had "heard" what Christ had said.... the words he spoke. However, the Truth was not in the words he spoke, but in what those words pointed to...and even this required of those who could comprehend what he could not articulate an elevated Apapsyche, such that what they "heard" was known from "within" themselves, not intellectually.

There is an absolute Truth, of the Spiritual realm, and then there numerous levels of relative truth... which is essentially of the MIND. The Bible can be read by a Master, or God-Man, and the Truth can be seen by that Master. But, there is nothing in the words of the Bible that in themselves contain the Spiritual absolutes that only one whose Apapsyche is within the Spiritual realm can see.

So, is the Bible the truth? Yes, relative speaking. Is it the Truth, as in absolute? No, the absolute Truth cannot be written, or seen, save by those who are within the actual realm within which it exists. And they do not use eyes to see, but Know by direct perception.

When Jesus stood before Pilate, the Roman said "What is truth." When he said that he was looking at Truth.

One does not explain life. One has it or one does not have it. Truth is not a thing or a concept but rather a person

Christ in the flesh was Truth. Christ in His Word is Truth. Christ as the Pillar of Fire (Holy Spirit) is Truth.

The Bible is Christ in His Word.

It is my opinion that the Bible, as we have it, is the truth.
However the truth of one persons life does not necessarily reflect the truth of another.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. The Bible is a recording of His life (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John), history (Genesis, Exodus, Kings, Esther, etc.) a King's prayers (Psalm) that also give us hope in our own times of despair, and many of the truths that we could use as guide in our lives, now and forever- in Proverbs and Revelation.
