Depending on the outfit, yes, women still wear slips. Although with the new generation/style of clothing, especially for younger women, the idea of slips is dying. But, either way, yes, it is still embarrassing and inappropriate for a woman's slip to be showing.

Yes. For younger woman, there are so many other options. Spanxx have helped put the slip trend to rest, a little bit. Slips are such an older, traditional thing though and it's usually an older generation that usually ends up wearing them.

I am more worried about someone seeing through my dress. I will wear a slip. I have 3 types of slips to help from one showing too much under my dress.

No slips for me! My skirts are lined and I wear very few dresses. Slips are too hot and yes you always have to worry about Monday being longer than Sunday.

very, very rarely. most of my clothes are lined. on the rare occasion that something is super sheer i have a 1/2 slip or two that i'll dust off to wear. hey, worst case scenario, someone sees a little shadow. as for the "slipping", i'd rather not wear one at all than to have it hanging out from underneath my dress. that's just too much like "Mama"!

Yes, it IS a little embarrassing! But not as embarrassing as walking through a restaurant, nose in the air and being 'all that' while dragging toilet paper six feet 'behind' you!
I actually saw this in a famous LA eatery!

I wear them in the winter because it is colder and you need all the layers you can get. When I wear one I make sure it is a couple of inches shorter than the dress or skirt I am wearing so that I don't have the problem of it sticking out.

I wouldn't even wear a slip much less let it show at the bottom of my skirt.

A slip showing is incredibly tacky. Plus, slips really arent common anymore. Not really necissary in my opinion.
