How can I expand my own horizon?

I want to expand my own horizon in the sense that i want to read books i've never read before, watch movies i've never watched before, do things i've never done before, ect...

I know this may seem kind of stupid but I am so bored with who i am and what i already know. I just want something different.

So any tips, books, movies, songs, whatever you feel like writing will be greatly appreciated.

You can always broaden your horizon (or expand it) by reading the classics like Jane Austen or Charles Dickens or Tolstoy, including poetry from that time period. Read volumes of encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauruses, etc. It doesnt' hurt to try new things. Maybe write poetry or short stories or a book. Read genres that you don't normally read like erotica or horror, TV and movies from the 50s -80s, etc.

dude, read ANY book you haven't read, see ANY movie you haven't seen. Take every opportunity that presents itself. The worst case is that you are no better off, the best is you've learned something new.

Or, take a hit, that works sometimes too.
