Ban it, it's evil! I don't want my kids exposed to it and wish it wasn't accessible for me to look at (and I do). Porn rapes the mind and is an underlying cause of broken relationships, sexual impurity, unrealistic and unhealthy expectations of women, pedophilia, types of mental illness, domestic violence and a slew of human related issues. Weigh all that against a few moments of personal pleasure or fantasy fulfillment -- it's not worth it! We better open our eyes as a society and recognize where we're taking civilization. The United States is bigger than that. I don't always agree with the government getting involved in our personal affairs, but something this damaging to the progress of our country should be dealt with on a broad scale. If we are to be example setters for the rest of the free world, we must work to minimize what makes us a weak society, including crime, drugs, sexual impurity, hunger, homelessness, etc. Although many will argue that it doesn't hurt anyone and not to look at it if I feel this way, I challenge you to think about what (if any) good comes from it. For all the time we spend looking at porn, we ought to be concentrating on strengthening our relationships with our spouse, family or significant other!

Minors should not be allowed on the internet especially without a parent sitting next to them. Minors are not allowed into Rated R movies, yet they are allowed access to the internet. I think they should take all childrens' material off the internet and only permit adult material. Remember, this is a computer. I paid a lot of money for this thing and I don't think many children are able to afford their own computer. Computers are clearly intended for use by adults just like automobiles are. I didn't have the internet when I was a kid and kids today can live without it as well.

No, it is up to the children's parents to monitor what their kids are doing. It is not up to the government or anyone else to parent all the children. If you don't want porn on your computer then don't go to those websites and but a block on your computer. There are hundreds of different programs such as nannywatch that will block all offensive material.
And people wonder what is wrong with our kids today! Could it be that many of today's parents are shrugging their responsibilities and expecting everyone else to raise their kids?

What a stupid question just looking for Yahoo points... ******* ludicrous. Yea, protect the kids. From what? You think they're in DANGER? The government can make you do ANYTHING and they always use "the kids" to make you believe it.

You should be more concerned with protecting the JOBS FOR the kids than all the little media produced hype on shows like Dateline etc..

Absolutely No! There are plenty of porn filters available and when the Gov't starts taking over parental responsibilities, children relinquish future freedoms

No, the parents can stop the kids..filters..whatever. This is putting new meaning to World Police. What if i want to see porn, what if we don't agree with others on religion..is that next? Back to the question......big ole NO.

Wrong! It is freedom of speech and people enjoy it. What should really happen is parents should play an active role in what their child is doing. The internet, T.V., and Video games are not baby sitters.

there are cases in supreme court about pornography, whether on TV or magazine, but the truth is pornography is protected under the First Amendment. That's why children under 18 are not allowed in porno shops. the gov't is doing the best they can without trampling over our constitutional rights. kids are not as innocent as you think they are. they can access porn sites, because they know what these things are. they've heard their older brothers talk about it. they've heard about their friends' brothers talk about this stuff. so, why just depend on the gov't to raise our children? what're the parents doing to impart good morals on their children?

No, freedom of speech is too important, the most repulsive loss of freedoms have been under the guise of protecting children.
