for starters take it out of direct sunlight.
i bought two strong magnets for my tank (which can be bought at places like pets at home), put one on the inside of the tank and put the other magnet on the outside exactly the same place as first magnet so that they stick. then when you move the outside one the inside one moves too, and scrapes of the algae. although ideally you would have a water filter to filter the algae otherwise your water will remain green.
