16 kids
10 adults
No of Kids=x
No of Adults=y
7x+15y=262
x+y=26 (multiply by 15)
15x+15y=390 (take away first equation)
7x+15y=262
=
8x=128
x=16
therefore number of kids is 16, adults must be 10

A = adult tickets sold
C = children tickets sold
15A = the amount of money made from the adult tickets
7C = the amount of money made from the children's tickets
A + C = 26 tickets sold
15A + 7C = 262 amount made in ticket sales
Solve the two equations by elimination or substitution.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

you want to set up equations first.
You know that there were 26 ppl. there.
Make children X and adults Y.
you get
X + Y =26
you know that $262 were made. Each adult ticket cost 15 so thats 15Y and each child ticket cost $7 so that's 7X.
7X+15Y=262
Then you can either use linear combination, graphing, or substituition to solve it. (Use both equations to do this)

Do your own math.
Start with even number of people, 13 kids, 13 adults. Then go up with the amount of adults because their ticket price is higher. I'm not doing the math for you but I will tell you how.

Based on the questions you keep asking, it looks like you need a tutor to help you with Algebra. Please get one. Unfortunately, I'm sure some point whore will just spoon feed you the answer. Does your math teacher...or for that matter your parents... know that you cheat on your homework?
