between an electric and an acoustic guitar.

Electric guitar needs an amplifier to get good volume out of it where as an acoustic guitar uses its wooden body to amplify the sound itself. Depends what kind of stuff you want to play.

1. You are starting a band and don't know the difference between accoustic and electric? Electric has to plug into an amp to be heard properly.
2. If you can't play the guitar yet, how are you going to play something someone sends you?
