reflex actions occur spontaniously, messages are being transferref from the motor neurons into the medulla oblongata (where the invoulntry reactions is controlled), this is not only under the brain itself (i.e smaller travel distance), but also involves no thinking... the later undergoes many complex thinking and acting mechanisms ..
and example could be, when holding a hot plate suddenly which contains the meal you have been cooking for the last 2 hours. if it was a reflex reaction, you would throw the plate in the air. however, since it is voluntry, you think and compromise between all the effort you did and getting a little burn and take a proper action like lying it very safely on the table.

Reflex reactions come straight from the lower parts of your brain. Voluntary reactions have to go from the stimuli to the upper brain and then back to the muscles.

Reflex reaction is faster than voluntary reaction because our nerve endings react faster to external stimulus and our neurons fired the impulses before our brain could react quickly enough. For e.g. we pull our hand away from a hot surface instantaneously before we realised it and only than we feel the onset of pain.

In reflex reaction, your body has 'known' the situattion very well already. Hence impulses can travel along axons and dendrons in an extremely short time and to the effector which carry out the action.

because information does not have to be send and processed in the brain in the same way for a reflex reaction

shorter distance for the 'signal' to travel. a voluntary reaction goes from the sensory neurone to the spinal chord, up to the brain, down the spinal chord and to the motor neurone.
however, a reflex reaction goes from the sensory neurone to the spinal chord and straight to the motor neurone. it bypasses the brain altogether. therefore the travelling distance is shorter and time isnt wasted 'thinking' of a response.

Because the signal does not have to go up to the brain. It is mediated through the spinal cord in a "subsystem" known as the Enteric nervous system.

During reflex action the spinal cord will act instead of brain so it is fast.
