There is a difference between discipline and abuse! Discipline comes from a recourse of breaking rules or disobeying, your parents. Abuse, is extreme discipline, which generally is brought on just because the parent is mad or angry for any thing. When hitting is involved, if marks are left on all area's of the child's body, and this include doubled fist, and even choking. This is abuse, and should be reported. Although, today's time finds "hitting" barbaric, there is still some parents that choose spankings. These parents have to be very careful, because even extreme black and blue and apparent whelping on the buttock can still get them in trouble. Hopefully your generation coming up will make the "spanking" even a rarer event than today's time.
