Maybe I'm not the only woman that wears girdles and stockings again,but really I never stopped.I wear a garter belt once in a while,but to me a little uncomforible then I like but most of the time it's a panty girdle or a open bottom style which is more practical and easier to get into,and they don't twist.

I do not know how many are these days. I knew a lady a while back, lived with her for quite a while in fact, who wore stockings to work every day. They had a dress code which specified no bare legs for women. She used a wider garter belt as she felt she just needed a little bit of tummy control. She did mention to me once that for her a girdle was a bit too confining. This from a woman who also wore a corset every day as well which she only took off when it was tiime for a bath. Of the other 9 women in her office, she was aware of 2 others who wore a garter belt and stockings and 1 other who wore a corset like she did. By the way, her corsets were absolute works of art, very pretty and very well made. She did not do "waist training" but just snugged the laces a little, enough to trim her natural waist by an inch or two. Personally, I think a woman with a well turned ankle is a pleasant sight, which makes my eyes feel warm...

With the right kind of fit and girdle you will not want to stop. You will find you will want to wear a girdle every day and you will love how you look and feel. And keep in mind there are some real serious health benefits to being in a firm boned girdle. What I found out from the corsetiere that because we stand erect this has a very negative effect on our internal organs and muscles, wearing a firm boned girdle will hold your organs in their normal natural position.

As a country we tend to go through these "fashion cycles" in which certain articles of clothing are dispensed with. Then suddenly, thrity years later, they begin making a comeback.I think there are many women who have discovered they are tired of fighting trying to get their pantyhose on and sre returning to wearing stockings. In the context of that, they are also seeing the benefits of slipping on a girdle, panty or open bottom. Girdles come in a much larger array of styles and colors than they did thirty years ago.and do a greaat job of helping the back and keeping the abdomen tucked in.
In addition to all of that, a women wearing a girdle and nylons can transmit an aura of sexuality that turns the eyes of men.

I agree with you and Nicole....TV and film had a huge influence on woman's leg wear during the late 90's till now. Just as men quit wearing ties and the overall dress code was relaxed. Also what you call nylons I think is a catch all phrase for stockings, pantyhose, thigh highs, stay ups etc. In the 30's and 40's you only had nylon stockings so they were called nylons. 100% nylon stockings or pantyhose can be uncomfy so you don't see them much anymore. I have seen more and more women going back to wearing hose so maybe that bad trend to go bare is in reverse! Thanks!

Apparently according to my girl friend Retro and Vintage gartebelts, girdles corsets and nylon stocking are making a BIG come back. Why? Men love them and women feel more like women.
My gals always says pantyhose are for little girls and stockings are for real women.
My gal is only 26 yrs old and thinks stockings are the only way to go!
when I ask her to go bare legged she says she always feels more confident wearing nylons. unless its some very casual event. So wear them with confidence and be proud

My partner always wears an open bottom girdle and nylons. It makes her look fabulous and she says it holds her up very nicely too.
