It all depends on what you're looking for - small, medium, or large area to live in. The area where South Carolina and Georgia border each other near Augusta is known as the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area). North Augusta, SC is growing by leaps and bounds rights now, and has lots of job opportunities. It is only 10 minutes outside of Augusta while still maintaining a small-town feel. Aiken, SC is also in the CSRA, and is known for its polo matches and historic sites, and is about 25 minutes outside Augusta.

Augusta, GA is a small city (about 250,000), but there are cultural opportunities and plenty of eating and upscale dining available. Not much of a nightlife if you're over 23 or so. Fort Gordon is in Augusta, so there is a large military population. Three large hospitals, a VA hospital, and two suburban areas that are more family oriented than Augusta itself.

In the Georgia side, you've got Washington, GA, a small town with gorgeous antebellum homes that still has some very affordable homes available. Also, check out Athens, GA if you're interested in a more liberal political environment, as Athens is just about the only place in GA to find liberal-slanted government. Great schools there, too (try Oconee County). Don't forget Savannah's outlying areas if you're interested in the coast - there's a lot of development right now in St Mary's and Kingsland, GA.

Atlanta!! I've lived here for a total of 10 years and haven't regretted a minute of it. I've lived in other cities across the U.S. and traveled extensively, but no city is quite like Atlanta. We've got everything but water (which is a definite drawback). The food is wonderful, the cultural opportunities are numerous and the locals are very friendly.

all of us is asserting Charleston, SC that's an extremely cool city, even yet it rather is a coastal city - no longer hurricane loose. I stay in Charlotte - incredibly cool place. NFL, NBA, minor league hockey & baseball. approximately 3 hours to the seashores and a pair hours to the mountains. concert activities come regularly. plenty to do uptown. Charlotte is likewise approximately to alter into the countries best banking midsection with financial employer of usa commonplace right here, besides as Wachovia. As you recognize, BoA merely offered Merrill Lynch, and Wachovia is conversing merger with Morgan Stanley. So, once you're a banker - it rather is a reliable spot.
