The linear equation is y=mx +b
m is the slope, m =
y2-y1
--------
x2-x1

(2-4)/(4-4) =
slope is -2/0, which it is "no solution"

so answer must be
C) x = 4
for every x values, the answers is always 4, while the y values can change.

The answer is C) x=4

Let me show you why it is not D) y = x + 4
if you plug in the coordinate of (4,2), which it is x=4 and y=2
it will be
y=x+b
2=(4)+4
2 is not equal to 8

there is no way you can get y to = the value 2 when the equation is y = x+4 and your x value is 4

That's why the answer is C) x = 4

It's a vertical line!

the answer is C b/c both (4,4) and (4,2) have 4 as the x;
and X=4 is a straight up-and-down line and since both (4,4) and (4,2) both have 4 as the x, they are both on the line.
