I had a hysterectomy five years ago, because I have endometriosis. But I still have my ovaries, and for the last two weeks I've been spotting blood off and on. Is that normal? I really don't want to go to my doctor, because I hate doctors and examinations. Does anyone possibly know what this could be?

Did you have a partial hysterectomy? Go back to the doctor, it could be cancerous or benign ovaries. Bleeding is abnormal.

A hysterectomy is when they remove the uterus. Since a fetus grows inside the uterus, there is no chance you could be pregnant. The reason you are not getting your periods is because you have no uterus. Periods are when the lining if the uterus (blood and tissue) are expelled from the body.
