In March, 2005, this song was performed at a Diamond Rio concert. They received an immediate standing ovation, and continue to do so every time they perform it! Sadly, major radio stations wouldn't play it because it was considered politically incorrect. Consequently, the song was never released to the public.
Liberal sensorship.

It's possibly been banned due to them referring to God. In this day of mutilple religions & faiths, that offends a lot of people. It shouldn't, seeing as whatever religion you follow, there's a God, Goddess, Buddah, Alllah, etc, that you pray to, ask to watch over you, guide your life, etc. Those that choose not to believe for whatever reason(s) are SOMETIMES the ones who push the banning of songs like these. I happen to like the song a lot & am signing their petition too.
I don't follow the Christian/Catholic religions anymore BUT the religion I DO follow now believes in all forms of a Diety. To me, prayer is prayer, regardless if you ask a male god, a female god, the angels, the arch angels, the spirits, the faeries, etc to watch over you, help you in a certain situation, guide your choices, etc. It all goes to where you want it to go.
A favorite saying of mine is Religious freedom is FREEDOM FOR ALL RELIGIONS. There are zealots, extremists, fundamentalists, ect, in ALL religions.

I doubt that. It may not be on their playlist like if it wasn't released as a single or something, but I don't believe it was banned.
