Dosn't it bother you that there are so many insane liberals in your party? I do not like it when the far right crazies bomb abortion clinics, and I am strongly against abortion.

I would kick out the crazies.
Hollywood, gay marriage people, non tax payers, tree huggers, abortionists...
and all you would have "left" are the various unions (teachers, ACLU, teamsters, etc.)
EDIT - I agree that Zel Miller is a good man. So is Joe Lieberman - look where that got him in his party...kicked to the curb in favor of another nut job lefty!

The Democratic party is far more flexible and diverse than the Republican party. While most Republicans (with an exception of one or two) voted to stay in Iraq and maintain the war, Democrats were virtually split over the issue.
Do not generalize.

I'm independent. That being said, I think all of American politics is characterized by wackos. Quite frankly with all of the Republican scandal, your question has some nerve to it. The Democrats biggest shortcoming is their inability to be in tune with the people and their lack of backbone. Rebuplicans are not sensitive to the needs of the people; too much backbone.

All the good normal Democrats have all left the Democrat Party. It is now nothing but freaks wanting a hand-out.
EXCEPT FOR ONE: Zel Miller. Hero. Brillant man. Honorable. Honest.
He is the only real Democrat left.
He just stays a Democrat to make the commies in the Party squeal.

I don't agree that the party was "hijacked by liberal wackos" I support most of the leaders of the democratic party at this point. Sorry.
