Being a Chargers fan, I should know but is there any innate ability as being quick, being able to burrow through a defense, etc?

He's fast, agile, and smart to begin with...He has great hands and ability to run after the catch.....so he can run and catch better than some WRs can and certainly better than they other RBs in the league, not to mention he's capable of throwing the ball as well...that guy is amazing.

because he's LaDainian Tomlinson!!! that alone says it all for me. i'm not a chargers fan but i gotta admire that dude! he can run, he can see forward, peripheral vision is excellent and he's agile. not only can he run and carry the ball, he can throw a perfect pass too. i mean, last week's game vs the raiders (suckiest in the nfl) should of been Tomlinson vs Raiders. LOL. :)

Guy's a tank... He's quicker than the LB's, and he steamrolls the CB's and S's... Plus he's got a great O-Line... and the coach has said that they are gonna keep running until Rivers gets his feet wet...
