as an arsenal fan they played well. i think the 4-5-1 works well for arsenal. we played that formation against real madrid and had about 10 good chances and yesterday vs man u we had alot of chances as well. i think the fact is that 5 in mid can hurry the opposition in midfield, esp when the pitch is big. since we are not at highbury anymore i think wenger should try the 4-5-1 in the next few games as well. because we have the likes of ljungberg and rosicky who can make runs from mid,it could just work

No, Almunia is a good keeper. Why he isn't even Spain's second choice? Well that's because there are two or three more goalkeepers that are better than him. Remember CL clash at Old Trafford? He frustrated me with his world class saves that made us only win by 1-0. And honestly, Arsenal does have enough goalkeeping quality to provide cover. Not to mention the fact that their defence is solid anyways. They need a striker, RVP is probably gonna get another injury sometime soon. Eduardo is inconsistent, Bendtner is inconsistent (obivously). Chamakh isn't much of a striker for continental fights like the CL. He is ideal for clubs like West Ham or Liverpool. Mario Ballotelli is the ideal man for them.

utd were aweful, however you lost posession quite easily in the midfield. defence - you were solid but attacking you were very blunt.

you seriously lack a killer striker. you've scored 3 goals this season, 2 from 12yards.

one thing that angered me from watching all of sky's "show down sunday" was that the refs are all a bunch of complete wimps.

in liverpool vd chelsea there was a lot of going in with elbows and people being generally unkind.
in the arsenal match, lehmann (again) the handball was harsh but then he was generally irritable and causing trouble, hes a gk for gods sake and hes starting a fight with O'Shea on a yellow card! also graham poll (bless him) seems more concerned with people not taking free kicks when he blows his whistle than people jumping in and sliding about all over the show.

also, you condemned your performance in my opinion by playing "stand in the corner football" at the end. it is the most boring and frustrating way to watch a match end and it is a very unsporting way to play. i'd rather watch the last 5 minutes be played...
arsenal were not as bad as chelski on this, drogba managed to waste 2.5 mins on his own...
