The best leather product I've ever used is Lexol, which works very well for the analine-dyed leather (color goes all the way through) in most european cars. Lexol probably works OK for the surface-dyed leather typical of US and Japanese cars, too.

There's a product called resist all for new vehicles. It's put on the outside and the inside of the vehicle. I spilled some milk in the front seat and it got down in the cracks and went to the floor behind passenger seat and dried. I followed the directions on the bottle and the milk came right out.
