A multi-million dollar company that I worked for in Florida paid the receptionist $8/hour. She got a quarter raise once a year.

So you have your sights set on being a receptionist for any multi-million dollar company...you are going to limit your job search to only "multi-million dollar" companies to be a receptionist. HA. Good luck.

not very good I work for a large company and the average wage is £13,000 per year.

it all depends on the area you live and the cost of living for that area.

Depends on where you live. Way back (97) it was about 16-24K in Dallas. (depending on experience)
