Girl, your not alone! I've heard of a whole lot of acne teatments, still there are other ways of controlling acne and pimples, i'll share what i know. You need to change your diet. No chips, chocolate, soda, less or no intake of fatty foods like burgers and pizzas. Drink plenty of fruit juices and water, keep hair out of face, wash face twice daily with clean water and a non-scented or medicated soap. Hot water is recommended. Get rid of as many black-heads as possible. You could use a commedone expressor wih a small hole to do so. Still gentle squeezing after washing with hot water, can be satisfactory. Don't use oil-based make-up and keep skin hydrated. DONT SQUEEZE PIMPLES! A diet high in proteins and vitamins are also helpful. Hope i helped.

Here's what I do (in steps):
needed: Clean and Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser; Clean and Clear Blackhead Cleansing Scrub; St. Ives Ultra Gentle Apricot Scrub; and Deep Cleansing Astringent (with salicylic acid).

1. Put a nickel sized amount of Clean&Clear Foaming cleanser on your hands and rub them together with a little water. Gentle massage it into your skin. Let it sit for about twenty seconds, then scrub away with a warm wash cloth.
2. Put some Clean&Clear Blackhead scrub onto your hands, and rub it into your face (avoid your eyes) After rubbing that into your face for a while, wash it off vigorously with a warm wash cloth.
3. With the St. Ives Ultra Gentle Apricot Scrub (make SURE it's ultra gentle) mix it with a few drops of warm water and scrub it into your face. Wash it off with a warm face cloth.
4. Lastly, use the Astringent and apply it to all your affected areas with a cotton ball or q-tip. DO NOT rinse it off. it may sting a TINY bit, but that means it's working. Let that sit basically until the next time you wash your face.

Do this entire routine twice a day (three times for the first two days) and you should see a change almost immediately. Trust me, it works.
Hope this helps.

~Mary~

Someone recommended [he's a science major/body builder so he knows what he's talking about]:

-Taking multivitamin caps - make sure it has sufficient minerals [1 at morning, 1 at night].
-Get a facial wash with the little pebbles in it.
-Directly after washing, use a facial moisturizer and an over-the-counter acne treatment medicine that has *salicylic acid or *benzoyl peroxide

I have acne too, so I'll be trying it. Good luck.
Pro-activ has also worked for me.

wash ur face twice a day with a special facewash for acne ( i use aveeno facewash) buy and any acne sloution at wallmart that u want (i use a clearpore product that is blue liquid and i spread it over my face witha cotton ball. use it both stuff twice a day unless ur skin starts getting flaky, then use another acne solution or start using the one u have once a day but keep on using the facewash. ask ur doctor for a prescription for ur acne, that will help. just remember to wash ur face twice a day, that is VERY important. hope i helped you. oh, and btw, it might be about a month before you start seeing REAL improvement, im sorry but thats the way it is, i hate it to. but its been a monthand my acne is WAY better(althouh not completely gone) and STAY AWAY FROM MAKEUP.

St. Ives products because they work great! And they really do work...if ur going to buy them, make sure u read th elabel for which kind of use for acne. Like theres St. Ives blemish control and for regualr acne and for blackheads. Make sure u read it tho or just ask someone that works at any drugstore, Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, anywhere really. It works great but u have to use it for like a week and ur skin will really clear up well.

The best option for you is to go to a dermatologist.
Most OTC brands don't work.
The doctor can prescribe you a cream or pill to get rid of them.
My cousin was in your situation, and after a month of taking the pills, he was a new man.

if nothing else works, talk to your doctor about using this medicine called accutane. serioulsy, it will clear up your face permanently. you will be amazed. the only problem is there are risks like liver damage involved, but you get blood tests each month to make sure your liver is ok throughout the yr that you use it. (you only need to use it for one yr)
