I have two Victoria's Secret catalogs that have them in lacy or plain, high-waist V-Shape or Hiphugger and in three color choices.

I have seen them in my Rite Aid pharmacy for sale (white only) and I have also seen two kinds of thin pads that attach to these belts. The pads look like ultra thin maxi's but have the little extra bits to hook into the belt.

...and lastly I heard two younger women raving about them on a Spanish version of the TV show "The View" - saying that they were the best - but not telling me why (I'm billingual).

The sanitary belts go back to the early 1930's. They were made to keep the pad in place. And yes, they are coming back. Yes, they help n keeping the pad from sliding to the back or front. Even though pads are now made with adhesive tape, sometimes they still don't hold very well and slip or slide, causing staining.

Sanitary belts now a days are not like the ones our grandmothers wore, they are lacey, ruffled and very sexy.

I don't like tampons so I still wear pads, I do have a sanitary belt, it's the Duromed Sani-Belt 1 Movable Tab, Adjustable Closure. It cost about $50, but I am really pleased with it.

I can't believe these are coming back. I suffered through them as a teenager, and they didn't always work as expected. If I was very active, sometimes they slipped around such that the pad was way too far back and then I had staining problems. I happily tossed them after I figured out how to use tampons, and I never used them again.
